2008-2009
The year has started enthusiastically with a new committee and many events! The fireworks display was a roaring success enjoyed by people from our school community as well as from the local area. This was followed by the Christmas events - the Fayre was well supported and then the party was a great success with everyone receiving a gift from Santa and of course the PTA's contribution towards the cost of the pantomime, made a real difference to the price each family paid. Our thanks go out to every member (both officaial and unofficial) who has worked so hard for our school. Thank you!
2007-2008
Last Friday's Summer Fayre was resounding success, with a great number of varied activities drawing in the crowds and I'd like to show my appreciation that so many parents and children supported this particular event. It showed what fantastic community events we can have when the PTA activities are supported in this way. It seems that we are approaching a total profit approaching £1000 raised from this event. I am extremely grateful to all involved in the PTA for their hard work in organising this event and for all other parents who organised and manned stalls. The PTA are certainly helping the school year end on a high. Click here to see a gallery of our Summer Fayre.

Julie successfully completed her ride last weekend and I'd like to congratulate her for that fantastic effort. I'm sure her legs were extremely tired! Julie is raising money for the school through this event.

Windband Performance at Tesco
Windband’s musical aptitude was there to be heard by all who shopped at Tesco on Wednesday 12th. They played a series of carols, while a throng of other pupils and parents stood collecting money towards the minibus. Many positive comments were made about the Windband and a total of £167 was collected. Many thanks go to those pupils and parents and staff for giving of their own time. I’d also like to thank Eryl Jones who helped with the transportation of the model mini bus.

Another collection was made at the Ruthin Produce Market at the Gaol. A group of children with some parents braved the cold and the rain to shake buckets at the local folk. Many of them responded in kind (or took pity on us!) and gave donations to our minibus fund.
Many thanks go to those pupils and parents who gave of their own time. A total of £164 was raised giving the fund total another boost!
I'm sure you'll agree, the gentleman on the right of the picture looks a bit shifty.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of Mrs. Dowell in organising this event and to Auntie Jill and Helena Lawrence's work in building the model minibus, the Big Push took place in Ruthin on December 1st.
Accompanied be the inspiational Judith Wynne, they banged cymbals and shook buckets, while pushing the model through the streets and collected a total of £118.
I'd also like to thank Eryl Jones for his help in transporting the model bus to and from town.
