Years 4
Whilst Years 5 and 6 were at the ICT Centre today we did some Maths Snacks. These are quite difficult puzzles and make you really think hard!
Robyn and Tom O "The puzzle we did was pretty hard. We had to workoas a team and answer questions like Is it possible to have 5 Sundays in one month? We think it would be good for Year 6 as it is really tricky!"
Zak and Peter " We had to complete a number hexagon. There were gaps in number sentences and we had to make them add up to 75. It was hard to start with."
Max and Hamish "We did Roman Numerals and it was very hard!!!!! We had to ask for a bit of help in the end"
RM Maths
A great addition to our Maths resources this year, has been the acquisition of a computer program - RM Maths, which progressively teaches and reinforces all Mathematical concepts from Reception to Year 6.
Taught hand in hand with our existing Maths scheme, it really helps us focus on raising pupils' attainment. The program involves answering a series of questions in ten minute slots. The children are very enthusiastic and look forward to their next session.
